Not the monitor. Not the keyboard. The things underneath them — the riser that gets the screen to eye level, the stand that gives your headphones somewhere to live, the tray that swallows the cables you would rather not look at.

Nobody photographs these things. You use every one of them, every day, for years.

Why we started with wood

Walk through the desk accessory aisle and almost everything is black plastic or printed particle board. It photographs fine and it looks tired within a year — the printed grain wears through at the corners, and a chip exposes chipboard underneath.

We build in solid wood instead: walnut, oak, beech, birch and bamboo, with steel or aluminium only where something has to carry weight. Wood everywhere your hands actually go.

Solid wood is not a luxury detail here. It is a practical one. Desk accessories get knocked, slid and stacked. When solid wood gets marked, you see more wood — and most marks sand out with a minute of effort. There is no layer to wear through.

What we sell

Our whole catalogue runs from $22 to $199, and it covers four problems:

Monitor risers and desk shelves

The fix for the most common desk problem there is: a screen that sits too low. Solid platforms, drawer bases, lockboxes and clamp-on shelves that float the monitor off the desktop entirely.

Headphone and controller stands

Wide, curved cradles that spread the weight of a headband instead of concentrating it on a hook — with enough mass in the base that the stand stays put when you grab your headphones one-handed.

Laptop and tablet stands

Fixed risers, folding multi-step stands and vertical docks. For lifting a screen to a sensible height, opening up airflow, or getting a closed laptop off the desk altogether.

Cable control and desk storage

Under-desk trays, wood-lid cable boxes, valet trays, tiered organisers and pen blocks. The unglamorous category that changes how a desk feels more than any other.

One range, one design language

Here is the decision that shapes everything else: every piece we sell is chosen to sit next to every other piece we sell.

The same short list of woods. The same finishes. The same hardware. No single item is designed in isolation, because that is not how people buy. You buy a riser this month because your neck aches, and a pen block eight months from now because the pens have taken over.

If those two things come from different places, your desk ends up looking accidental. When they come from one range, it looks like you planned it — even though you did not.

It is a quiet promise, and it is the main reason to buy more than one thing from us.

How we choose what to sell

We are a small online shop, not a sawmill, and we would rather be straight about that. We do not mill our own timber or run a factory. What we do is select: we work with manufacturers who work in solid stock, and we decide what makes it into the range and what does not.

What gets a piece rejected:

  • Veneer over particle board sold as wood.
  • A base too light for its job — anything that tips when you use it one-handed.
  • Hard contact points, like bare metal where a headband or a laptop chassis rests.
  • A finish that does not belong with the rest of the range, however good the piece is on its own.

That last one costs us products regularly. We think it is the rule that matters most.

What we would rather you knew

A few things that are easier to say plainly:

  • Wood varies. Grain, colour and figure differ from piece to piece. Your walnut riser will not be identical to the photograph, because no two boards are identical. We consider that the point.
  • We do not run permanent countdown timers. When something is discounted, the compare-at price on the product page is a real previous price, and the sale is not a fixture.
  • We would rather you bought one thing that fits than three that do not. Measure your desk before ordering — depth especially, since it is the dimension people forget.
  • Shipping. We currently ship within the United States.
